Using a Communications Calendar to Manage Communications
If your marketing department is anything like ours, staying organized is absolutely critical. We’re a small (but mighty!) department and we have a lot of activities to create, manage, and deploy. Without a master communication calendar, we would be lost and we certainly wouldn't be as efficient.
With so much going on and overlapping messages going out from multiple channels, it’s always a good idea to have a communications calendar to keep you (and your team) organized. The communications calendar right within Informz is a great tool to help you keep track of your email campaign schedule. You can even add non-Informz activities – like events, direct mail, social media or anything else you need to keep track of -- and communicate to others within your organization. It’s an Informz Superfan favorite!
You can access the communications calendar from the Mailing List page and clicking the Calendar tab. From there click "Add to Calendar" to add items to the calendar. You can color code certain categories and even keep track of emails across child accounts. For help using this feature, just contact your eMarketing Advisor and they can give you a tour of how to use this helpful feature.
We suggest that you put all of your communications efforts on the calendar, and things that affect your communications on it, too. For example:
- Email campaigns
- Social media posts
- Conferences and events
- Publication release dates
- Fundraising appeals
- Blog posts
- Website updates
- Advertising runs
